Lots of Socks
Lots of Socks is a campaign aiming to create conversation and foster awareness of Down syndrome. It involves wearing coloured, mismatched, bright, long, short or any other combination of socks to get people talking about Down syndrome. The choice is yours, but we ask that you join us in wearing socks that will create curiosity so you can have a conversation with people about World Down Syndrome Day. It's easy to do, so whether you're at home, kindergarten, school, university, work, play, travel, holiday or anywhere, please join in!
For kindergartens and schools:
Get your child's school or kindergarten involved. We have a schools package that can be used by teachers to help raise awareness. You can download the information pack here
. There are also some great activity ideas for teachers available here
For workplaces and other groups:
You don't need to be a school to get involved with Lots of Socks. Get your workmates, uni class, business, start-up, sports team involved by choosing a day to wear mismatched, bright or coloured socks and raise funds for DSV.
