Who is this workshop for?

Parents/Carers who would like to know more about the formal concepts of supported decision making, and how you can give your family member with Down syndrome the support necessary to enable them to make and implement the decisions that affect them.

Aim/outcome

Down Syndrome Victoria and the Office of the Public Advocate invite you to learn about the laws in Victoria that enable people with cognitive disabilities to appoint someone to assist them to make decisions.
These legal roles provide formal recognition for families and carers and can be helpful when dealing with service providers.
